Online Prescription Treatment

Overview

Online Treatments is a WordPress/WooCommerce plugin I built that lets an online pharmacy sell prescription-only or clinically-assessed products through a guided questionnaire rather than a standard "Add to Cart" button. Any WooCommerce product can be linked to a "Treatment", which replaces its Add to Cart with a "Start Consultation" flow — so a customer answers the required health questions before they're ever allowed to buy. Every submission is linked back to the resulting order, so the pharmacy can see exactly which answers went with which purchase.

The problem it solves

Selling prescription or clinically-assessed treatments through a normal WooCommerce checkout is a compliance risk — a customer could buy a regulated product without any clinical assessment. Pharmacies needed a way to gate purchases behind a proper questionnaire, enforce eligibility rules, and keep an auditable link between each customer's answers and their order — none of which standard WooCommerce provides.

• Option to hide treatment products from Shop/category listings; only one treatment in the cart at a time

The result

A production-ready plugin that lets online pharmacies sell clinically-assessed treatments safely — capturing the required health information, enforcing eligibility, and keeping a clear audit trail between each questionnaire and its order.
